Perennial philosophy – my version – after Ken Wilber
This is my version of the core teaching about reality, including the reality of our selves, as found at the core of all of the great world religions – when all of the man-made ‘crud’ is stripped away.
1 All is Spirit – all things, all stuff, the forces that hold stuff together, all beyond, & us, all is Spirit.
2 En-LIGHT-enment is to be found within – at the still quiet centre of our selves.
3 The secret of the universe is staring us in the face – it is shatteringly simple.
4 We don’t ‘geddit’ because we get attached to the circle of pain – (various forms of ‘me-me-itis’).
5 The good news is that there is a way to release ourselves – & move to true freedom.
6 The way, experience via practices and teachers, can enable enlightenment and re-birth.
7 This freedom enables us to live better in the world, with mercy and compassion for all.
PS The only sin is complacency.
If we don’t like freedom we can always re-enter prison.
If you are really committed to self-inflicted pain you will succeed!
