To look upon beauty, in art or in nature, is to realize our own beauty.

The relative context of perspective – or new perspective from re-contextualizing?

Art teaches. Nature teaches.

Buddhism is compassion. When we realize our own beauty the boundaries of our compassion expand.

  1. Lovely that phrase: compassion is love shaped into an embrace. I think you would resonate with my new book THE POWER OF COMPASSION: Stories that Open the Heart, heal the Soul, and Change the World (Hampton Roads, 2010). I realised some of the stories in video on my YouTube channel: please visit: http://www.YouTube.com/thepowerofcompassion. I think you would especially like “The Power of Flowers”. I’ve foudn that flowers have so much to teach us about the synergy between beauty and compassion. I tried to create a meditative video that allows the user to move into that space of gratitude and delight.
